Video by Pastor Tim – Most extemporaneous prayers (however well-cloaked) are very selfish in nature. It’s certainly okay to pray to God about our own needs, but our prayers should go well beyond these “self-centered” type prayers. Praying the fixed-prayers of Scripture enable our prayers to become more God-centered and eventually our extemporaneous prayers will be transformed as well!
