Video – Earn Your Way to Heaven Through Good Works?

Do we do the Works of Mercy (doing good, sharing your bread, etc.) to earn our way to heaven?  Pastor Foley says, “of course not . . . unless you have an eagle tattoo on your face(it’s hard to explain -you’ll just have to watch the video)!” Doing the Works of Mercy is actually how we show the world what God is like and also how we experience what God is like.  The amazing part is that through this process we also come to resemble God Himself.

    Hi Pastor Foley,

Greetings. I’m reading your book “These are the Generations”. . . pretty darn good so far. So glad to have found your website, blog and articles and I’m looking forward to the treasures that are to be found here.

I’ve been reading some John Owen recently and one phrase keeps reoccurring that you may enjoy based on your DOTW . . . “act faith” or in other places “learn to act faith.” So simple yet so powerful. . . can’t get it out of my thoughts or conscience.

May God continue to bless you with grace in Christ. . . alan
