God Remembered

Pastor John Biak from Myanmar visited us early in May as a part of our 2016 Martyr’s Spirit Speakers Series where he shared his testimony of how he came to know the Lord and eventually became a missionary in his own country.

Of all the things from his testimony that are worth praising God for, the story of the American missionary’s gold tooth is especially noteworthy. Who would have thought that something so small and insignificant could be used to bring generations of Burmese to Christ? Who would have ever imagined that the “very beautiful morning” would be brought about by a gold tooth?

But God remembered. He not only remembered the couple’s sacrifice but also their hopes and dreams for Myanmar. God remembered them just like how He remembered the boy’s five barley loaves and two small fish and the poor widow’s two very small copper coins in Books of John and Mark, respectively. God is a God who remembers His people, and He cares deeply for each person no matter how minute something appears to be.
